Injured Sritej is improving, say doctors
Hyderabad: KIMS hospitals doctors -- Dr Chetan R Mundada and Dr Vishnu Tej Pudi -- today released health update of Sritej, who was seriously injured in a stampede at Sandhya Theatre and undergoing treatment continues to maintain stable vital parameters on own without any oxygen or ventilatory support. They said the boy’s sensorium is similar with spontaneous eye opening and spontaneous limb movements but there is still no meaningful eye contact or recognition of family members.
He is waking on verbal stimulus, but not following any oral commands. He has intermittent dystonic movements and stiffness in his limbs for which medicines are being given. He needs intermittent suctioning of the tracheostomy tube. He is tolerating feeds via nasogastric tube well and is afbrile since last three days.
Meanwhile, Sreetej’s father told media persons that his son was recovering and improved somewhat. There have been movements in the body for four to five days. If given an injection, he responds with pain in his hand. He's been looking at me with his eyes open for two days. But he is not recognising us. Doctors said he may gradually recognise me.” He said his son had been shifted from the ICU to a separate room and added that the ventilator support had been removed from him.
He said Minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy gave Rs25 lakh and Mythri Movie Makers Rs50 lakh. Actor Allu Arjun gave Rs10 lakh, he said. He also said he announced that he would withdraw his case against Allu Arjun out of concern that he would be arrested and added that none pressurised him to withdraw the case.
Pushpa movie Director Sukumar's family also visited the boy twice.
Dil Raju Assures Revathi's Family of all Help
Meanwhile, Telangana Film Development Corporation (TFDC) Chairman and producer Dil Raju has announced that he will stand by the family of Revathi, who lost her life in the stampede at Hyderabad's Sandhya Theatre.
Producer Dil Raju visited Sree Tej, who was seriously injured in the incident and is undergoing treatment at KIMS Hospital, on Tuesday.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, Dil Raju said it was very unfortunate that such incident had happened.
"Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has appointed me as the FAC Chairman. I could not come for so many days as I was in America, but after returning from America, I met the Chief Minister. I will meet Allu Arjun soon. I am watching the developments that are currently happening. I will soon meet with government heads and film industry leaders to discuss the matter. I will act as a bridge between the film industry and the government," he revealed.
The TFDC Chairman said that he would support the victim's family in every way and was ready to provide employment to Revathi's husband Bhaskar.
Dil Raju stated that Sreetej's health condition is improving and he is being provided with better medical treatment.
"The Sandhya Theatre incident was not intentional and it had happened by accident. The intention that the government is distancing itself from the film industry is a false rumor. The Chief Minister has assured to support the film industry in every way. He has also given an appointment to meet with the industry people, Dil Raju added.
